October Volunteer Spotlight

Karen lives in Pierre with her husband Bill. They have one daughter Renee, who is married and lives in Pierre with her husband Kai and their three cats. In her free time, Karen enjoys volunteering, reading, being outside, traveling, and pool/water exercise.

Karen works at the Countryside Support & Memory Center. Prior to that, Karen spent 38 years as a physical therapist and as a member of leadership at Avera St. Mary’s.

She became a volunteer for the CASA program to provide a voice for children in the foster care system.
